Volunteer

Our volunteer and internship program is the foundation of our organization. It provides knowledge and experience to all parties involved. Throughout the year we receive individuals and groups of volunteers from Puerto Rico and abroad. Our volunteers help with the development of our organic gardening and bio-construction efforts and the general maintenance of our facilities. Their dedication has helped us successfully complete several projects. Our volunteers gain valuable experience by working in a sustainable environment and from the shared knowledge Plenitud is proud to foster.

Here are some of the ways you can help be a part of our community and develop skills.

Individuals

We encourage individuals to participate in their area of interest. Local individuals interested in participating on a regular basis on a chosen project should contact us for more information.

We also receive individuals over the age of 18 for extended periods of time (1-3 months) and offer them a place to stay at our facilities. This a great opportunity for students with to complete internships or practice in different fields of sustainable development and permaculture.

Groups

We also receive groups from schools and universities for periods of 5 to 15 days for an immersive permaculture experience. During their stay, groups get the opportunity to work on current projects, participate in educational workshops, and live in our community. For more information please contact us.

"Plenitud is one of those beautiful communities that feels just wonderful. The staff live a vegetarian, organic, composting, serene life and invited the group into their family. The goal of the organization is to spread love and health and help anyone interested through education to live a more centered and healthy life."

Work Parties

Work Parties are events that typically last one or two days during which volunteers collaborate on specific projects. These are an excellent opportunity to meet and learn from others with similar intentions. Work parties are a great choice for church groups, friends, schools and clubs.

If you are a member of a group and wish to organize a work party, please contact us for more details.
